What is NJ Health and Wellness Network?
NJ Health and Wellness Network (NJHWN) provides a cost effective, alternative solution to today’s growing crisis in the healthcare industry. By joining NJHWN you will receive substantial savings on basic services such as family medicine, pain management, chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, dentistry, podiatry, dermatology, otolaryngology (ENT), optometry and ophthalmology (vision care), radiology (X-ray, MRI, CAT-scan) and prescription drugs.
Is this an Insurance plan?
No, NJHWN is not health insurance and therefore does not have all the restrictions, requirements and expenses associated with it. Instead, it’s an affordable solution for your healthcare needs. This plan provides discounts for its members at local providers for medical services. This plan does not make payments directly to providers of medical services. The plan member is obligated to pay for all services but will receive a discount from those providers who participate in our network.
How much will I save?
The savings can range from 20%-50% depending on the provider and medical services rendered. YOU WILL ALWAYS RECEIVE A 50% DISCOUNT AT OUR CENTRAL OFFICE LOCATION.
Who is covered?
An Individual Plan covers single individuals only. The Family Plan covers you and members in your household (as long as they are considered a dependent or spouse under IRS guidelines). You must list all names and birth dates to be included in the Family Plan on your application.
How soon will I be seen if I need to make an appointment?
In most cases, appointments are scheduled within 24-48 hours.
Is there a deductible?
No, unlike traditional insurance, there are no deductibles. You will get a discounted rate when paying the provider directly. Your savings starts with your initial visit and continues through out your entire treatment program.
How do I receive my discounts?
Discounts are immediate after your card is activated. At your appointment, simply present your NJ Health and Wellness Membership Card to receive discounts at any one of the participating providers. For prescription drugs, present your “Drug Card America” Card at any of the 45,000 participating pharmacies nationwide to receive your discount. There are no forms to submit and no pre-authorization for any service.
Is there a co-pay when I visit a provider?
No, NJHWN is not insurance. You pay for the provider’s service at the discounted rate, at the time of service.
If I have to pay immediately for services, how do I know I am getting a discount?
Medical providers in our affiliated network have agreed and are obligated by contract to specific fee reductions from their regularly billed charges for all medical procedures.
What happens if the network provider doesn’t know about NJHWN health discount program?
You will still get your discount, even if the provider is not familiar with NJHWN. Since we use third party networks and/or affiliations [such as Drug Card America for your discount prescriptions], the Drug Card America’s contracted providers are obligated to give NJHWN members the agreed upon discounts. You could also call us at (732) 229-3344 so that we can make sure that you will receive the proper discounts.
When do I receive my membership card?
You will receive the membership card with your personal identification number within one to two weeks of enrollment. The membership card must be activated within 24 - 48 hours of receipt. To activate the card call (732) 229-3344 Monday through Friday 9AM - 5PM.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, our discount card program offers a 30-day cancellation policy. Members will receive a full refund of membership fees, provided that no benefits are used.

What if I lose my card?
If you lose your card, please call NJHWN Central Office at (732) 229-3344 so a new one can be issued to you. There is a $10.00 handling fee.
